Global Threats – Collaborative Solutions

Each year, the ASM Biodefense and Emerging Diseases Research Meeting features a Global Threats – Collaborative Solutions session to provide insights into current security challenges facing notable leaders. 

At the 2015 meeting, Lawrence D. Kerr (Natl. Security Council, Washington, DC), will present "Domestic and Global Health Security Policy: Challenges and Opportunities" for this session.  His presentation will address domestic global health security policies and strategies that focus on natural and man-made biological threats, including the public health and national security risk posed by antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Global Threats – Collaborative Solutions is Monday, February 9 from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.

On Feb. 11, the ASM Biodefense Meeting will broadcast President Obama's Ebola Press Conference, from 1:20 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. in the Thurgood Marshall Ballroom SW.

The afternoon program schedule will be adjusted as follows:

1:20 p.m. - 1:40 p.m.
Ebola Press Conference

1:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Concurrent Symposia

Anthony S. Fauci and Nancy Sullivan (NIAID, NIH) will present an update and strategies for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, Feb. 11 at 7:15 a.m.
